Founded 1995 by Ron Cooper — the artist who introduced quality mezcal to the modern American market. Each Del Maguey bottling specifies its single village of origin (San Luis del Río, Chichicapa, Santa Catarina Minas, etc.) and the maestro mezcalero by name. Acquired by Pernod Ricard in 2017 (kept Cooper involved).
