Founded 1821 in Zara (now Zadar, Croatia — then under Italian rule). After WWII the family relocated to Torreglia near Padua. Maraschino (sour cherry liqueur — bartender essential for Aviation cocktails, Hemingway daiquiris) is the historical flagship. Now a wide portfolio including Sambuca dei Cesari, Limoncello, and the famous Maraschino Cherries.
