Founded 1999 — the first Swedish single malt distillery. Built a gravity-fed 'gravity distillery' in Gävle (one of the world's first new whisky distilleries designed entirely around gravity flow, eliminating pumps). Heavy use of Swedish oak (Quercus robur) — a unique-to-Mackmyra cask wood with distinct character.
