Founded 1978 as a state distillery operated by Taiwan Tobacco & Liquor Corporation (the state spirits monopoly, descended from the Japanese-colonial-era tobacco monopoly). Released Omar Single Malt in the 2010s. Subtropical central-Taiwan location with similar tropical-aging dynamics to Kavalan. Won International Spirits Challenge gold medals.
