Ross & Squibb Distillery

Owned by MGP Ingredients (NASDAQ: MGPI) · Lawrenceburg, Indiana, USA · Founded 1847

Operating continuously since 1847 (as Rossville → Seagram's → Pernod-Ricard → CL Financial → MGP since 2011 → renamed Ross & Squibb in 2022 to honor founders George Ross and Lazarus Squibb). The Lawrenceburg facility is the single most influential distillery in modern American whiskey: their 95/5 rye mashbill (95% rye, 5% malted barley) and 36% high-rye bourbon mashbill (60/36/4 corn/rye/malted barley) define the flavor profile of dozens of NDP brands sold under other labels nationwide. Began bottling under their own brand names in 2017 with George Remus and Rossville Union. As of 2022 also releases under the MGP-branded line.
