Founded 2004 by Jess Graber and George Stranahan. Released in 2006 as the first commercial American single malt whiskey of the modern era — predates Westland (2010) and Westward (2012). Acquired by Proximo Spirits in 2010 (parent of Jose Cuervo, Tincup, Bushmills US distribution). The annual Snowflake release (a different cask-finish each year, sold once a year at the distillery) developed a line-around-the-block cult following. 100% Rocky Mountain barley, on-site fermentation, copper pot still distillation.
