Brand founded 2006 in Iowa, originally sourcing from MGP in Indiana while building a Templeton, IA distillery (operational from 2018). Brand identity tied to 'Templeton Rye' — the prohibition-era rye whiskey supposedly favored by Al Capone, made by Templeton, IA-area farmers. Now both sources MGP juice and produces its own at the Iowa distillery.
