Founded 1829. Tullamore D.E.W. (D.E.W. = Daniel E. Williams, 19th-century master distiller). Owned by William Grant & Sons. Production left Tullamore in 1954 (consolidated to Cork) but returned to a brand-new purpose-built Tullamore distillery in 2014 — one of the rare distillery 'homecomings' in Irish whiskey.
