Founded 2007 by Raj Bhakta (former Maker's Mark COO) on a 500-acre Vermont farm. Originally sourced from Alberta Distillers (Canadian rye) — the famous WhistlePig 10 is Canadian distillate. Has been planting and distilling its own estate Vermont rye since the early 2010s; 15 Year Vermont Estate Oak uses entirely VT-grown rye and Vermont oak. Master Distiller Dave Pickerell (Maker's Mark, deceased 2018) shaped the early portfolio.
